I'M FRANCES

How did you meet?Tom and I are a few years of age apart. We had mutual friends and went to the same high school. However, we never crossed paths. It wasn’t until both of our lives and previous relationships changed that Tom reached out to “catch up” through Facebook.

What do you remember most about your first date?Kim had a rule that it “had to be somewhere fun because she can take herself out for dinner and a movie”. So Dave & Busters seemed like a fun place to go. Tom was so nervous we got a little lost but made it to Dave & Busters. His hands got soo sweaty on the drive, it was super cute.

When did you know he was the one?I couldn’t possibly pin point an exact moment to say “that’s when”. Tom has always been the calm to my storm. He is generous, steady and a great father. Every day there is a small moment when I look at him doing something whether its gardening, building something, playing with the kids, cooking dinner or just getting out of the truck from work and I just love him.

If you could use 3 word to describe the theme of your day what would they be?Intimate Family-focused Minimalist

What is it about my photos that speaks to you?The realism, the lighting, and the softness.

What is the one thing that attracted you most about your partner? There are many but I was most attracted physically to Toms smile and bright eyes. Personality wise, his calmness and patience. Tom says beautiful face, long legs and once he got to know me more it was “beauty and brains” because of the street smarts.

Tell me 3 things about your partner that describe them best?Hardworking Stable Loving

Tips or advice that you would give to future couples when planning a wedding?Remember the whole reason is the celebration of your union. No one else matters.

How did you feel about the engagement session after it was all over?We are nervous, awkward photo takers. Not knowing how to pose, you really calmed us and made us more comfortable towards the end. It went quickly but efficiently and would recommend.

How did you feel the moment he proposed? Were you surprised by his planning?SHOCKED. We had talked about if we would ever marry, and it wasn’t something we felt we “needed” to do. We went away for my birthday and took a walk on the beach. When set up to take pictures, I turned around and there he was down on one knee with a rock of a ring.

What do you like to do as a couple?Sit on the porch in a rain storm and say “we needed this”. Then laugh that we are the old couple ;p. We like to be outside, be with the kids. When we actually have alone time we like to go to a pub or patio and just be.
