Family photography is not easy, but when you have a large blended family that behaves like this one the photos are endless.
We started at a location that had many options for backdrops and added in a cool car and 2 puppies at the end.
I start by photography one family portrait while everyone is fresh and happy. Then I hang out with the kids and we play and have fun while I photograph each one individually in a journalistic style. Then, one more group family photo before doing smaller groupings of just the girls or boys or mother daughter, father son or mini portrait session with the parents or sibling.
At this stunning location, we had beautiful architecture and stone steps, we ended up in the creek playing with the kids and we had multiple backdrops for group family formals in a natural setting.
