You decide what type of photography coverage you would like. I can be 100% unobtrusive and document the entire wedding day with candid photos and still creating beautiful portraits without you knowing i’m shooting.
You can also choose to have family formals taken with only 20 minutes of your time.
I can direct you every step of the way if that’s what you prefer. Light direction is preferred for my shy clients and couples uncomfortable in front of the camera.
- How did you meet?We met in high school in Newmarket, ON where I was living and Jake was attending school in the area. One day I went to go do homework with a friend and Jake walked in with some friends and we have talked everyday since then.
- What do you remember most about your first date?in high-school, we were (and still are) best friends and spent everyday together, so it is very hard to pinpoint when we had our first date. The one memory I have of us together before we officially started dating was when we flew to his house and drove me around his small town. It was snowing outside and I remember looking over at him while he was driving and had a feeling of pure joy and happiness. it was so perfect that i felt like I was in a movie.
- What is the one thing that attracted you most about your partner?I love how caring he is for the people who are close to him. He will stop at nothing to make sure that people are happy and get the respect they deserve. His selfless actions and the way he manages to make people smile has always amazed me and still does everyday. Having to pinpoint why I fell in love with my high school sweetheart is impossible. Caleigh has endless amazing qualities that ensured me she was the one. Caleigh has the ability to match my restless energy and push us on new adventures, all while having fun doing so.
- What do you like to do as a couple?We love hunting and just enjoying the outdoors together, whether it be going for long drives or taking our dog Izzy to the park.
- If you could use 3 word to describe the theme of your day what would they be?Fall, cozy, rustic
- What is it about my photos that speaks to you?Your innate ability to capture a natural elegant photo in any space that still demonstrates the love that people have for each other.
- When did you know he was the one?There is no person in the world who brings more joy into my life than Jake. Ever since we met there was always a special bond between us that I knew was never going to break. He always manages to make me smile and there is no one that I would rather spend my life with.
- Tips or advice that you would give to future couples when planning a wedding?Don’t let other people influence your day. No matter what anyone says, the day is about celebrating you and your love story.
- How did you feel about the engagement session after it was all over?After the engagement session we felt so comfortable and prepared for our wedding day. We know what to expect and are ready to keep moving to get the best
How did you feel the moment he proposed? Were you surprised by his planning?when I turned around and saw Jake down on one knee, surrounded by the beautiful fall colours at our favourite hunting spot I was immediately in shock. Tears of joy started rolling down my face and I was at such a loss for words I had attempted to say “yes” multiple times before actually getting the words out. Knowing how hard he had worked to put all of this together and keep such a big secret amazed me. Since we tell each-other everything I could only imagine how hard keeping this from me was and I am so proud that it all worked out. He planned the perfect place, the perfect time and we were alone in a place that always makes us happy. Definitely a moment we will never forget.
Tell me 3 things about your partner that describe them best?Jake will stop at nothing to make sure that everything is perfect, he is so passionate about everything he does whether it be at work or just making dinner at the end of the day. He is so caring and protective of the people and things he cares about and will do everything to make sure that people are comfortable and happy all the time. He is so funny and will find a way to sneak a joke in any place he can and never fails to make people laugh. Caleigh is a caring person, with a very bubbly attitude. She has an outgoing personality, paired with her contagious smile that can make any situation better.
