  • How did you feel about the engagement session after it was all over?
We were ecstatic. We had so much fun and we can’t wait to see what they turn out like. We’re really looking forward to our wedding photos next year after our engagement session too!!
    • How did you meet?
I was selling cars at the time and Brock came in and purchased his truck from me. I had my dog, Roxie, with me in the dealership, and she immediately fell in love with him, which was extremely out of character for her to not be skeptic all of someone at first. He asked me out quite a few times before I finally said yes, but he was persistent and we had our first date a few weeks after we met.

    • What do you remember most about your first date?
I met all of his friends on our first date, and went out for dinner with them all that night at Teds Range Road Diner in Meaford. We ate Kangaroo, Ostrich, and Alligator. Now we go there every year for our anniversary.
    • When did you know he was the one?
The first time we went kayaking together about a month after our first date, I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him, and that he was just as crazy as I am

    • How did you feel the moment he proposed?
Were you surprised by his planning?
I wasn’t surprised at all, there was not much planning. I knew he went out and bought a ring that Saturday morning (I knew he was planning to for months though). We went kayaking for the first time of the year and chased a dock down the river. We went home after and cooked dinner together. And when we were outside BBQing, he dropped down on one knee and popped the question. “It’s going to burn a hole in my pocket and I can’t wait” he started with
    • What do you like to do as a couple?
We try to go kayaking as often as possible, and we like to take Roxie for walks to connect
    • If you could use 3 word to describe the theme of your day what would they be?
      Rustic, happy, fun
    • What is it about my photos that speaks to you?
You really know how to capture how the couple feels. There is so much emotion and detail in your photos, and you can tell the couples are comfortable working with you
    • What is the one thing that attracted you most about your partner?
His smile was the first thing I noticed, then his bright blue eyes
    • Tell me 3 things about your partner that describe them best?
Hard working in every aspect of his life, he loves with everything he has, and isn’t afraid of what anyone thinks of him
    • Tips or advice that you would give to future couples when planning a wedding?
Give yourself time to enjoy being engaged before you jump into planning right away - no matter how hard it is to do. Planning a wedding takes a lot of time and effort, so soak up being engaged before you dig in
